Meet Some Of OUR TEAM

John Perkins

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

John has almost 30 years as a technology entrepreneur working in the Care Industry. During that time, he successfully started and built several companies. John leads a passionate team driven by a shared vision to ‘enable all people to live their best lives with choice and dignity’. John’s multi-disciplined team together with care providers, work to bring about fundamental improvements in the overall care delivery and quality of life outcomes for care recipients supported by use of easy to use and innovative technology solutions. John has an Honours Degree in Elec Eng (University of Sydney), an MBA (Macquarie University), and is Chair and Co-Founder on Australia’s leading charity for Social Inclusion, Touched By Olivia Foundation.

Mike Steinberg

Chief Operating Officer

Mike leads and manages our customer implementations, service delivery and support operations. Working closely with our provider clients and care sector software vendors, gives him a good understanding of the challenges faced by Aged Care and Disability Care providers. Mike forges strong relationships with our care sector customers focussed on supporting better use of technology to transform their business processes to achieve improved business efficiency and improved care outcomes. Having worked for over 25 years in the technology industry, he has successfully delivered technical implementation projects for some of the industry’s largest clients. Mike is a Graduate of Durban University of Technology and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Vishnu Narra

Chief Technology Officer

Vishnu works on the leading edge of software innovation. He challenges and inspires our team to consistently develop unique, innovative and easy to use software solutions to often complex customer requirements. With extensive experience leading and managing diverse and multi-faceted software development teams in the care sector he is aware of the operational and business needs of our provider clients and their desire to work smarter and use technology to ‘do more with less’ while at the same time optimising their care experience outcomes. Vishnu has worked in the HealthTech industry for over 20 years designing, building and delivering innovative software solution informed by his Masters in Information Technology (University of Sydney) and degrees in Engineering and Computer Science.

Melissa M Chavez

Director of North American Operations

Melissa brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the Senior Living industry to her role as North American Business Development Executive at Checked In Care (CIC). With a career that spans owning, operating, and consulting for senior living communities across the U.S. and Canada, Melissa has a proven track record of innovating care delivery and creating solutions that enhance communication and resident care. Prior to CIC, she co-created Extended Care Pro (ECP), a pioneering SAAS platform that transformed eCharting and EMAR systems in senior care. Passionate about improving the lives of seniors, Melissa joined CIC to bring its groundbreaking platform to North America, where she is helping to close the communication gap between care providers, residents, and families.

Bree Danielle Wyatt

Head of Customer Success

Bree brings a wealth of experience in the aged care, NDIS, and healthcare SaaS sectors to her role as Head of Customer Success at Checked In Care. With a background in business development and account management, she has led initiatives at Mirus Australia and CARETEQ, driving innovative SaaS solutions and consulting services. At Checked In Care, Bree is focused on enhancing client relationships, streamlining service delivery, and ensuring seamless integration of customer-focused solutions in aged care across Australia.

Anna Paul

Technical Business Analyst

Anna works to solve customer business problems by balancing the user, technology and business needs for customer implementations. In collaboration with our customers, she ensures our customised solutions are effective and deliver a seamless user experience. With over 20 years working in software technology, Anna has extensive knowledge in business solution software and analysing business operations to arrive at easy to use and meaningful solutions. She leverages the knowledge gained from her Master of Computer Applications degree combined with a developed understanding of how front office and back office operations in Aged Care and Disability Care work.

Neerrujah Prem

Project Delivery Manager

Neerrujah is a seasoned senior Project Manager with over 20 years of experience delivering small to large-scale IT projects across diverse industries. She specialises in managing multiple integrations and overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring they align with client expectations and business objectives.

With a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, Neerrujah excels at fostering collaboration among developers, business analysts, QA teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Known for her ability to build strong relationships with both clients and senior leadership, Neerrujah is a trusted and invaluable asset in any project environment. Neerrujah holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of New South Wales.

Eddie Bugday

Customer Success Manager

Eddie is focussed on ensuring the successful roll out of all client implementation projects to meet or exceed client expectations. He achieves this by bringing his strong relationship building skills and expertise to his interactions with clients, development, and support teams. Eddie works closely with the project teams of our clients also assisting them with training and support. With over 20 years’ experience in all phases of the software development and implementation lifecycle, he has a deep understanding how to ensure successful project roll outs. Eddie holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne.

Andy Buchanan

Account Manager

Andy is passionate about delivering customer focused care and support. He brings energy and commitment to our aim to exceed customers’ expectations by consistently delivering the best in customer care and support. A resourceful and collaborative team member, Andy is experienced at supporting individuals and teams of people to work together to achieve successful business outcomes. He draws upon his extensive team leadership, training and customer service experience gained in over 20 years in senior roles in the hospitality industry, and first-hand knowledge of how to optimise technology use in customer facing front line roles.

Rebecca Jester

Product Manager

Rebecca is a seasoned Product Manager with over 8 years of experience in B2B SaaS across various industries. A true builder at heart, she thrives in shaping and executing strategies in highly ambiguous and impactful areas, breaking down complex challenges into actionable roadmaps. With a customer-first mindset, Rebecca is recognised for her deep expertise in understanding diverse use cases and anticipating future product opportunities. Rebecca takes a “think big, start small” approach, and combines strategic clarity with executional excellence to create meaningful value for both customers and the business
